Founder Stories:

Tom Lively, Co-Founder of Organically Grown Company joins us to share his story conceiving, convening, and growing Organically Grown Company.

It was 1977. A few gardeners, small-scale farmers, hippies, environmental activists and dreamers living near Eugene, Oregon, started getting together to talk about a shared belief: that organic agriculture was a key to nourishing healthy people and sustaining a healthy planet.

Over the next 40 years, Organically Grown Company steadily grew to become the largest organic produce distributor in the Pacific Northwest. Today, the company is owned by the Sustainable Food & Agriculture Perpetual Purpose Trust and continues to continues to find innovative ways to promote health through organic agriculture as a leading sustainable organization.

Ticket includes two complimentary drinks and abundant appetizers.

Presented by City of Eugene and Eugene’s Table, with support from Farmers Union Coffee Roasters, Alma Foods, and Organically Grown Company.
